Feminism Explained and Social Impact Movement hosted a conversation on the journey towards gender equality in entrepreneurship. Our discussion explored the multifaceted challenges women, particularly women of color, face in accessing crucial resources such as funding, mentorship, and business opportunities and highlight the importance of ensuring equitable access to these resources. We explored how to drive meaningful change and foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for all women entrepreneurs. The keynote was Latoya Stirrup. Our panelists were Arathi Ramappa and Yadira Diaz. Our youth representative was Zoe Terry.

In honor of the national 2023 Women's History Month theme "Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories," the panel highlighted women who are active in storytelling and information sharing. This panel explored the panelists’ experiences doing this work and why the person telling the story matters. Additionally, in alignment with Feminism Explained’s work, this discussion serves to showcase the importance of using media platforms to elevate gender issues and change dialogues about critical issues affecting women and all gender minorities. Our panelists were Erika Fabian, Sandra Lafleur, and Maria Ilcheva. Our Keynote Speaker was Dotie Joseph.

In honor of the 2022 Women’s History Month theme, “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope,'' we celebrated the contributions of women caregivers to South FL and amplify their voices through a panel discussion highlighting their important caregiving roles, the impact of the pandemic on their work, and how to improve their work conditions. The panelists were Gabina Julian, Nicky Dawkins, and June Barrett. Our keynote speaker was Cynthia Yue.

The Conversation Continues centered its discussion on topics of career journey, experience of gender inequality in said career journey, gender inequality in current position, and ideas on addressing gender inequalities. The event further stressed that although Women’s History Month has ended, issues of inequalities have not, and therefore our attention should still be focused on equality and women’s rights. Our panelists were Daniella Pierre, Dotie Joseph, and Monica Skoko Rodriguez.
